About Us

The Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau (DBA Visit Springfield) has been sharing Springfield’s story since 1979, starting out as the hospitality wing of the Chamber of Commerce. In 1989, we officially became an independent not-for-profit organization under Missouri law. Today, we’re the destination marketing organization for Greene, Christian and Polk counties, committed to boosting our economies by promoting our region as a top-tier destination for travel.

The Bureau Is:

  • Directed by a volunteer board comprised of 15 civic and business leaders
  • Supported by a full-time staff of 19, part-time staff of three and nearly 100 volunteers.
