The 417 is no stranger to new restaurants opening, and the past couple of months have seen a few new spots pop up. Let’s dive in and explore just a handful of what has opened here in the Ozarks!
Xurros Cafe
The owners of Xurros took a family trip to Barcelona and loved the Spanish-style churros so much that they returned to Missouri and opened the well-known food truck we all love, Xurros! Now, you can head to downtown Springfield and check out their new brick-and-mortar shop. So, while you are out enjoying a walk about town, you can walk in and grab a sweet & salty snack, maybe a hot beverage or two, and enjoy their new spot!

MOKape Brews and Bites
Everyone loves a new coffee shop, right? MOKape Brews and Bites have only been open a month or so at the Battlefield Mall and are making quite a splash with their beverages and treats. Their menu is filled with hot and iced coffee, smoothies, dirty soda, and energy drinks. They are also making Croffles, which are waffles made from croissants! They are made fresh and then topped with a wide variety of sweets. You can order matcha, Nutella, tiramisu, and cookies and crème. Stop by their location inside the mall soon!

Thai Garden
Tong’s Thai might have closed its doors, but Thai Garden has risen! Springfield’s newest Thai spot has that same welcoming ambiance Tong’s offered, with a new menu serving some Thai classics. Fried tofu, crispy spring rolls, and papaya salad are great ways to start before moving onto the main entrees. Order some drunken noodles, veggie stir fry, and even garlic pepper frog legs!

La Casita Mexican Cuisine
From the owners of Casa Bella in Springfield, comes their new restaurant, La Casita Mexican Cuisine! La Casita has a menu filled with some of your favorites from Casa Bella and some new items worth trying. Pick up the Fajita Burrito filled with chicken or steak, white rice, peppers and onions, and then topped with chipotle cream sauce and roasted corn! Belly up to the bar for some of their margaritas and cocktails, and enjoy the new spot!
