Boone and Crockett Club’s public exhibition of World's Records and Top-5 trophies in all categories of native North American big game is now on display at Bass Pro Shops® Outdoor World® in Springfield.

“Bass Pro Shops has a long tradition of sharing conservation success stories with our customers through in-store displays,” said Johnny Morris, president of Bass Pro Shops. “It’s an honor to help bring the Boone and Crockett display to Springfield for all to see.”

The exhibition provides for a preview of the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium set to open this year where Boone and Crockett Club’s world-famous National Collection of Heads and Horns will be housed permanently. This influential collection is relocating from the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, to be part of the Wonders of Wildlife experience.

An experience like no other

The 315,000-square-foot Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium consists of an all-new 1.3-million-gallon aquarium adventure showcasing 35,000 live fish, mammals, reptiles and birds in a tour through the world’s underwater habitats; completely immersive wildlife galleries that bring visitors eye-to-eye with the greatest collection of record-setting big game animals ever assembled from North America, Africa and the Arctic; and a conservation education center for youth programs, conservation groups and events.

“Responsible hunters and anglers are often the unsung heroes in conservation despite playing a significant role,” said Morris, the visionary behind the experience. “Our vision is to create a world-class experience that celebrates hunting, fishing and conservation in Springfield where half of the U.S. population lives within a day’s drive.”

The new International Game Fish Association Fishing Hall of Fame will also move their collection to Wonders of Wildlife. It highlights some of the sport’s most accomplished men and women through a display of personal artifacts and masterfully recreated replicas of world-record freshwater and saltwater fish.

The current Boone and Crockett big game exhibit runs through July 16th. Wonders of Wildlife will open late summer 2016 as one of the largest, most immersive conservation attractions in the world.
